Germanium is famous for giving a fantastic warm, classic vintage sound, However the problem with most germanium boosts is the exact sound is not stable or consistent because germanium is very environment and signal sensitive.
With their new boost design Benson have created a new circuit design with premium grade parts specifically to ensure a warm full boost tone, but also a stable and consistent one

The Benson boost gives classic clean boost and warmth, it fattens and widens the tone, without spoiling the natural tone of your amp. At the higher settings 7-10 it starts to also start to clip to drive further fatter drive from your amp. It can provide from a pure clean boost to your existing signal & tone, or be set up to drive your existing amp or drive pedals further in to overdrive

The Benson Germanium Boost works superbly with electric guitar, but equally well also with electric acoustic, bass guitar, or synthesizers
Benson Germanium Boost can be used in the following ways in the signal chain

1. Boost amp & tone shaping by boosting the clean signal by adding germanium warmth and thickness
2. Pre booster to drive a louder fatter signal in to your overdrive - this will add more fatness and drive from your overdrive pedal. The Benson boost will add punch and a small level of compression/tightness and give that classic Germanium overdrive sound.
3. Used as a post overdrive booster it takes the existing overdrive characteristic and adds more headroom and gives a more dynamic fuller sound. If used in to a tube amp the amp will also be pushed further in to classic tube overdrive
