The Sure Shot Clipping Boost is a different kind of boost.
This boost is designed to give clean boost or light amp overdrive, in a unique way. As you increase the LOUD control, the Sure Shot will push your amp into overdrive through it's pair of MA856 clipping diodes. This creates a LAYERED drive effect, in which the amp AND the pedal are both beginning to overdrive.
If you run this in front of your favorite boost, overdrive, or distortion it adds texture to those sounds. The audio image of the Sure Shot is based on classic 1970’s tones, with some areas slightly peaked out, and some frequencies tamped down just a bit. This classic audio image increases as volume increases.
The Sure Shot works with all genres of music, from country music to heavy chugging metal. It’s a clipping boost…it clips…on purpose…and it sounds glorious when it does!
